Junior High Girls Basketball,
It's not every day that you get to do what you love, and I can honestly say that about junior high basketball. These girls from the time we started until the day we finished gave their all everyday. It might not always have looked great, but the desire was always there. These girls not only have a phenomenal attitude, but a desire to be great. The many hours that they have spent in the gym perfecting their shots, ball skills, and knowledge of the gym is something to be commended. This would definitely not have happened unless the parents, volunteers, and the community were not actively involved.
I want to thank Chelsey Zimmerman for coaching along with me. We definitely had a lot of laughs along the way. It was a sheer pleasure to work with you and bounce ideas off of during practice. Your knowledge of the game and your patience with players is outstanding. Thanks again.
Now for the girls, I want to first thank you for a great season. The eighth grade girls were 13-1. The seventh grade girls were 14-2. This record was compiled from both A and B games. I could not be more proud of you girls. This could not have happened without the great effort and determination that each of you brought to the court every day. Your encouragement with your teammates and the desire to make them better did not go unnoticed.
Lastly, I want to thank the parents, grandparents, and the community who not only were a part of their development as a player, but for travelling and supporting the team.
