The FM PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is comprised of parents of elementary students, teachers and administrators. We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events, plan events or determine committees to handle the events. Any parent, teacher or school administrator is welcome to attend. Board Elections are held every 2 years and the bylaws outline the requirements necessary to be eligible for a board position.
The PTO has hosted Back to School Bashes, Halloween Fun Nights, LEGO Night, Minute-to-Win-It Night, 6th-8th grade dances, Elementary Talent Show, Family Movie Night, Read Across America, Red Ribbon Week, reception for Winter Elementary Music program, provided lunch/dinner for teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences, and treats for ITBS week. Our main fundraiser is the annual Plant Sale in May, and is included with funds collected through Box Tops, Labels for Education, Labels for Learning and Land O’ Lakes, donations from parents/businesses and 6th grade Christmas sale have provided equipment for indoor and outdoor recess, equipment for physical education and support for field trips. Donations can be made to FM PTO and sent to the school to continue to support the funding of these activities for the FM elementary.
