Fremont-Mills High school offers large group and individual speech to 9-12th graders. In speech, students have roughly 2-4 weeks to practice their cartography before competing. Some categories that are offered include improv, acting, ensemble, and mime.
Our speech program this year has grown tremendously compared to last year! We have so many talented kids out for speech! Last year, we had 4 total large group speech events and 6 total individual events. This year, we had 12 large group and 18 individual events compete at district contests. Six out of our twelve events for large groups made it to the state contest, and 12 out of our 18 entries performed at the state level. Our Individual Speech students also took home first place at the Corner Conference Speech competition. We can’t wait to watch this program grow even more!
