2024 Corner Conference Art Show
Middle and High School art students in each of the Corner Conference schools have been working hard to get ready for the 2024 Corner Conference Art Show. This year the show will be hosted by East-Mills Community School from Saturday, March 23rd - Monday, March 25th. Excellent artwork from all of the Corner Conference schools will be on display and everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy. The Art Show has no admission fee. Objectives for the Art Show are to showcase our students’ artwork, reward and recognize students for their ability and efforts, and promote the visual arts in our communities by encouraging the participation of the public to view the artworks.
Artworks will be submitted by the Conference Schools in the following categories: Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Photography, Sculpture, Commercial Arts, Decorative Arts and Miscellaneous items. The show will be judged in three divisions: Middle School, High School Beginning Art and High School Advanced Art. Awards will include five Best of Show ribbons and medals (one for each of the five categories); as well as First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention ribbons in each sub-category.
The Art Show will be held in the East-Mills gym located on the North side of the building at 1505 E 15th Street, Malvern, IA 51551. Artwork can be viewed by the public on Saturday, March 23rd from 4-7 pm and Monday March 25th from 9-1pm.

On Wednesday, Fremont-Mills and Sidney students attended the Women in Business conference held at Arbor Bank in Omaha, NE. These young ladies had a great day networking and learning. A special thank you to Arbor Bank, Kassie Jorgenson, and her panel of business women for creating such a memorable day for these ladies.

There will be no speed and agility this week.

The kindergartners and sixth grade helpers and the second graders and high school helpers made leprechaun traps at school on Friday. If you did not see a leprechaun today, the traps worked!
