Our lunchroom was full of hungry hippos on Halloween, Thanks to our lunchroom staff for bringing smiles to our students.

Kyanna Renteria (7th Grade Baritone) and Lillian Gill (8th Grade Clarinet) were selected by audition to represent FM at the 33rd Annual SW Iowa Bandmasters MS Honor Band. This year's festival will be held at Atlantic HS on Nov.10 with instrumentalists from over 20 SW Iowa schools

HS students, teachers, parents and grandparents all showed up to help at the Elementary Halloween parties. Thanks to all of the people who helped. Everyone had a lot of fun!

There are a couple of toilets still floating around town. "Deuce on the Loose" is the first major fundraiser for NHS. Funds will be used to purchase more stoles for graduation, future events, and the 2024 NHS induction ceremony dinner.

HS Student Council's Big & Little program's goal is to match high school students with elementary classes to act in a mentoring capacity. There were 48 high school students who volunteered to be placed as mentors. We look forward to the positive relationships that will develop.



Jostens announced that Fremont-Mills High School’s yearbook program has achieved the Jostens 2023 National Yearbook Program of Excellence award at the Gold Level.
The award was presented to the Fremont-Mills High School yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.
The Fremont-Mills High School award-winning yearbook programs editor-in-chief Leslie Lopez under the direction of Vandy Spellman, Fremont-Mills High School yearbook adviser.

Come to the Scholastic Book Fair at the FM Library. It will be open 8:00 - 8:00 on conference day, October 26. Check out the wish lists filled out by many of our teachers. Reading Rocks at the FM Book Fair!

There will be a state cross country send off for Hannah Wilson this Thursday. Departing the school and headed down main street at 5pm!
FM students learned how to safely evacuate the bus, what the danger zones are outside the bus, and other information about being safe in and around the bus. Thanks to bus drivers Ms. Etta, Mr. Louden and Mr. Dave for taking time to help our students learn the bus procedures.
