The elementary students were excited to bring money for the Jingle Jars competition. We are collecting money in December to train a service dog that will be used by a paraprofessional in our building.

Mary Beth Korver and Todd Morgan were both sworn in as school board members at the meeting on Monday night. Eli Forney was sworn in as the new president and Mary Beth was sworn in as the new Vice President. Thank you for your service to our school.

Thanks to these students for pitching in by picking up trash after school until we hire new nighttime janitors. We appreciate your help!

2021-2022 Snow Day / Remote Learning Day
Last spring we surveyed our families on how they felt regarding remote learning during snow days. The response was over 70% in favor of continuing to use these days in the future. Based on this response, and as long as we have enough advanced notice, we are planning to have some remote learning during snow days this year. We will send devices or materials home for all grade levels. Please note the following important information regarding remote learning snow days:
If the weather event keeps us out of school for more than one day, only the first day will be remote. Other days will be traditional snow days.
If the weather event lasts for several more days, we will consider having another remote learning day built into that time.
Please note, the remote days will only be used if we have enough notice to send devices or materials home with students.
All announcements regarding remote and traditional snow days will be posted through email, text message, school app and Facebook.

Members of the junior high FOR (Friends of Rachel) club were selling handmade bracelets for a free-will donation at the junior high basketball game. Money raised will be used for the FOR club and future Rachel’s Challenge projects.

JH/HS SEL Newsletter from Mrs. Billingsley

Fremont-Mills wants to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful to be part of the FM family.

The November Kindness Club members delivered donations made by the students and staff to the food pantry this week. Mrs. Moles, from the food pantry, was surprised to see how much food the elementary collected during their food drive. Thank-you for helping us spread kindness.

After a year’s absence the Fremont-Mills Kindergarten got to celebrate with a traditional Thanksgiving feast. The Kindergarteners got to help prepare and then eat turkey, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. It was a great way to celebrate.

Great start to our night! Parent community presentation on culture at 6:30 pm in the auditorium With Mr. Scott Garvis.

Sherry Reed and Mary Howery, from the Tabor VFW, gave presentations to the third and fourth graders about the history of the United States flag and what the words of the Pledge of Allegiance means. Thank-you to these ladies. We learned a lot.

Reminder that we will have an athletics/activities parent's meeting tonight at 6:30 in the auditorium. We will be going over some important information, as well as hearing about Championship Culture from guest speaker Scott Garvis. Please make every effort to attend!
